Job Description
To support the residents in the hydrotherapy pool, helping to ensure that their hydrotherapy physio plan is fulfilled in accordance with the agreed physio programme. You will be responsive to the individual needs of the residents, at all times using a gentle, non-confrontational, model of care, liaising with their carers, physio professionals and at times family members.
You will adhere to high standards of care practice maintaining the provision and promotion of a safe, supporting and dynamic environment.
You will ensure that the aims and objectives of the hydro sessions are met, in line with the organizations and legislative policies and procedures.
You will take a proactive stance in personal development, whilst furthering your knowledge and enhancing your skills, in line with organizational requirements.
To ensure the safety of residents and staff in and around the pool area, preventing and responding to emergencies.

Duties
· Present a professional appearance and attitude at all times.
· Remain vigilant at all times, and undertake pool support worker duties to ensure pool users are fully protected in accordance with Cream’s Hydrotherapy policy and the health and safety legislation.
· Clean internal and external areas and control facilities to ensure safe use by all who use the hydrotherapy pool; following the cleaning schedule provided
· Assist with swimming pool testing procedures to ensure a clean and safe swimming environment for all pool users.
· Ensure any irregularities with Temperature and or chemicals in the pool are reported to the Maintenance supervisor.
· Record all testing procedures on the paperwork provided.
· Ensure a clear record is kept showing who has attended swimming on the paperwork provided.
· Record cleaning and hygiene on the cleaning schedule provided.
· To support Residents to complete their Hydrotherapy Physio programme.
· Where possible support Residents with personal care following their session.
· Once probation has been successful attend training courses to enhance your skills including:
- STA Pool plant room Operators qualification.
